Cushion cover HS Code description

Cushion cover harmonized system code

Product Overview A Cushion Cover, classified under Harmonized System (HS) Code 6304, is a type of textile furnishing designed to encase and protect cushions. Manufactured from a wide range of materials such as cotton, polyester, silk, or a blend of these materials, cushion covers typically come in various sizes, colors, and designs. They can be plain or ornately decorated with embroidery, print, or appliqué work. Within the HS Code 6304, cushion covers fall under several subcategories depending on the material used and the processing level. The primary commercial applications for cushion covers include home décor for residential, commercial, and hospitality sectors, as well as a retail product in home furnishing stores. The value proposition of cushion covers lies in their ability to enhance aesthetic appeal, provide comfort, and protect the cushion from wear and tear, spills, and stains. HS Code Classification & Trade Specifications Cushion Covers are classified under the 6-digit HS Code 6304. The hierarchical breakdown is as follows: Chapter 63 (Textiles; other made-up textile articles, sets, worn clothing and worn textile articles, rags), Heading 04 (Other furnishing articles, excluding those of heading 94.04). The specific subheading for cushion covers is determined by the material used. The rationale for this classification is based on the product's composition and its intended use as a furnishing article. Trade considerations for cushion covers include packaging in plastic wrapping or cartons to protect the product during transit, preservation through proper storage to prevent damage from moisture or pests, and shipping requirements that adhere to textile regulations in the destination country. Quality standards for cushion covers typically include colorfastness, durability, and compliance with safety regulations such as fire resistance. The product description adheres to World Trade Organization (WTO) and customs documentation standards, and is consistent with international trade classification systems.
