Embroidered patches HS Code description

Embroidered patches harmonized system code

Product Overview Embroidered Patches are classified under the Harmonized System (HS) Code 5810, representing textile products and articles with embroidery. These patches primarily consist of textile materials intricately designed using various embroidery techniques. Key characteristics include their physical specifications such as size, shape, design complexity, color, and the type of thread used, which can be cotton, silk, or even metallic. The quality attributes are often judged by the neatness and density of the stitches, the clarity of the design, and the durability of the patch. The HS Code 5810 can be further broken down into subcategories depending on the base fabric and the type of embroidery. Embroidered patches find extensive use in the apparel industry, sports, military, and corporate branding sectors, among others. They offer a unique value proposition through customization, enabling businesses to represent their brand distinctively. HS Code Classification & Trade Specifications The complete HS Code Structure for Embroidered Patches is 5810.10, with '58' representing 'Textiles', '10' denoting 'Embroidery in the piece, in strips or in motifs'. The rationale for this classification is based on the product's fundamental characteristics of being a textile product with embroidery. When it comes to trade considerations, embroidered patches are usually packaged in plastic bags to prevent damage and maintain quality. They are shipped in cardboard boxes, which are easy to handle and provide adequate protection. The quality standards for embroidered patches are determined by the thread and fabric quality, stitch density, colorfastness, and durability. The classification and trade-related information are consistent with the World Customs Organization's guidelines and support the needs of customs classification and trade documentation.
