Flag HS Code description

Flag harmonized system code

Product Overview The product under consideration is a flag, classified under the Harmonized System (HS) code 6307. This code pertains to "Other made-up textile articles; sets; worn clothing and worn textile articles; rags." Flags fall under this category due to their textile composition and final 'made-up' status as a finished product. The key characteristics of flags under HS Code 6307 include their physical dimensions, the type of fabric used (commonly polyester, nylon, or cotton), and the level of detailing in their design. These flags often feature intricate designs, emblems, or symbols representative of nations, states, organizations, or teams. Their commercial applications are extensive, ranging from governmental use, corporate branding, sports events, to retail sales for personal use. The value proposition of these flags lies in their high-quality construction, durability, and the precision of their printed or embroidered designs. HS Code Classification & Trade Specifications The full six-digit HS Code for flags is 630790, where Chapter 63 represents 'Textile Articles', Heading 07 designates 'Other made-up textile articles', and Subheading 90 specifies 'Other.' The classification rationale for flags under this code is based on their made-up status as finalized textile goods. Common trade considerations for flags include appropriate packaging to prevent damage, preservation methods to ensure longevity, and shipping requirements that comply with international regulations. Quality standards for these flags typically require them to be colorfast, UV-resistant, and capable of withstanding varying weather conditions. It is important to note that all trade documentation for flags under HS Code 6307 should adhere to World Trade Organization (WTO) guidelines and customs requirements. As such, precise technical terminology and measurable attributes should be consistently used to facilitate customs classification and meet trade documentation needs.
