Lifting belt HS Code description

Lifting belt harmonized system code

Product Overview The lifting belt classified under HS Code 630790 refers to a durable, flexible belt primarily composed of textile materials, used for securing or lifting goods in various industrial and commercial contexts. This product typically features reinforced woven fabric construction, with widths ranging from 25 mm to 100 mm and tensile strengths exceeding 5000 N, ensuring reliable load handling. Processing stages include precision weaving, edge finishing to prevent fraying, and application of protective coatings or treatments for enhanced abrasion resistance and longevity. HS Code 630790 encompasses a broader category of other made-up textile articles not elsewhere specified, with lifting belts positioned as specialized sub-items within this grouping. Commercially, these belts are integral to logistics, warehousing, and manufacturing sectors, facilitating the safe movement and stabilization of heavy or bulky items. Their value proposition lies in their compliance with international safety standards, adaptability to various load types, and cost-effective durability, making them indispensable in supply chain operations across food service, retail, and processing industries. HS Code Classification & Trade Specifications The HS Code 630790 breaks down as follows: Chapter 63 (Other made-up textile articles; sets; worn clothing and worn textile articles; rags), Heading 07 (Other made-up articles of textile materials, including lifting belts), and Subheading 90 (Other, not elsewhere specified). This classification is justified by the product’s nature as a fabricated textile accessory not falling under more specific categories like bags or tarpaulins. Trade considerations for lifting belts include packaging in bulk cartons or on spools to prevent deformation, with preservation methods such as moisture-resistant wrapping to avoid mildew during transit. Shipping protocols demand adherence to international standards for hazardous material exclusion and dimensional compliance for container loading efficiency. Quality standards often align with ISO 9001 certification for manufacturing processes, alongside compliance with ASTM or EN safety requirements concerning tensile strength and durability. Documentation must accurately reflect the HS classification to ensure smooth customs clearance, tariff application, and conformity with WTO agreements, facilitating seamless international trade operations.
