Pp woven bag HS Code description
Pp woven bag harmonized system code
Product Overview PP woven bags classified under HS Code 630533 are durable packaging solutions manufactured from polypropylene (PP) woven fabric, designed to provide high tensile strength, dimensional stability, and resistance to moisture and chemicals. These bags typically measure between 30 to 100 centimeters in width and 40 to 120 centimeters in length, with fabric densities ranging from 80 to 150 grams per square meter, ensuring robustness for heavy-duty applications. The production process involves extrusion weaving of polypropylene tapes, followed by lamination or coating treatments to enhance barrier properties and longevity. Within HS Code 630533, subcategories include laminated and non-laminated PP woven bags, differing in surface finish and water resistance. Commercially, these bags are extensively utilized in the food service sector for bulk packaging of grains, flour, and sugar, as well as in retail and agricultural processing industries for seed, fertilizer, and feed storage. Their competitive advantage lies in cost efficiency, recyclability, and compliance with international food-grade standards, positioning them as preferred packaging materials in global supply chains requiring sustainable and reliable containment. HS Code Classification & Trade Specifications The HS Code 630533 falls under Chapter 63: “Other made-up textile articles; sets; worn clothing and worn textile articles; rags,” with Heading 6305 specifying “Sacks and bags, of a kind used for the packing of goods,” and Subheading 630533 identifying “Sacks and bags, of polypropylene or of other plastics woven fabrics.” This classification is based on the woven construction from PP tapes, distinguishing it from non-woven or fabric bags. Trade considerations include packaging methodologies such as bundling in batches of 100 or 500 units, with preservation techniques involving moisture-proof wrapping or palletization to prevent contamination and deformation during transit. Shipping requirements conform to ISPM 15 standards when wooden pallets are used, and international quality standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 often apply to ensure product consistency and food safety compliance. Documentation must explicitly state material composition, dimensions, and treatment processes to facilitate customs clearance, tariff assessment, and adherence to WTO trade regulations, thereby ensuring seamless international trade operations.
