Storage cabinet HS Code description

Storage cabinet harmonized system code

Product Overview Storage Cabinet under HS code 9403 refers to all types of cabinets specifically designed for storage purposes. These cabinets may vary in size, material composition, and design, but they all share a common purpose of storing and organizing items. The main physical specifications include dimensions, weight, number of shelves, and load capacity. Depending upon processing levels, these cabinets can be categorized as assembled or disassembled. The quality attributes include durability, sturdiness, and resistance to wear and tear. Within the HS code 9403, storage cabinets are further subdivided based on their specific usage, such as office cabinets, kitchen cabinets, and bathroom cabinets. Commercial applications of these storage cabinets are wide-ranging, including food service for storing kitchenware and food items, retail for displaying and storing goods, and various processing industries for storing tools and equipment. The storage cabinet's market positioning is primarily based on its practicality, versatility, and space-saving characteristics. HS Code Classification & Trade Specifications The complete HS code structure for Storage Cabinet is 9403.60, where '94' represents the chapter for furniture; bedding, mattresses, mattress supports, cushions, and similar stuffed furnishings, '03' stands for other furniture and parts thereof, and '60' denotes the subheading for wooden furniture of a kind used in offices. The product falls under this specific code due to its general use for storage in various settings, including offices. When it comes to trade considerations, these cabinets are typically packaged as flat packs for easy transportation and assembly at the destination. Preservation methods include sealing the components in plastic to prevent damage from moisture and pests. Shipping requirements generally involve protective packaging to prevent damage during transit. Quality standards for 9403.60 storage cabinets include compliance with international safety standards, durability tests, and environmentally friendly manufacturing processes. These specifications align with the WTO and customs documentation standards, ensuring a smooth international trade process.
