Wall clock HS Code description

Wall clock harmonized system code

Product Overview The Wall Clock, classified under Harmonized System (HS) Code 9105, is a timekeeping device designed to be mounted on a wall. This unit is meticulously crafted with various materials such as wood, metal, or plastic, featuring an analog or digital display. The clock may also incorporate additional features such as temperature and humidity indicators, or even chime mechanisms. Within the HS Code 9105, Wall Clocks fall under the subcategory of "Other Clocks," excluding timepiece instruments designed for vehicles, aircraft, and vessels. The commercial applications of Wall Clocks span across multiple sectors, including retail, hospitality, offices, educational institutions, and households, where they serve a dual function of time indication and interior décor. Market positioning for Wall Clocks under HS 9105 hinges on their aesthetic appeal, reliability, durability, and additional features, providing competitive advantages in various market segments. HS Code Classification & Trade Specifications The Wall Clock is classified under HS Code 9105.91, which falls under Chapter 91 (Horological Instruments), Heading 05 (Other Clocks). This classification is based on the clock's application as a wall-mounted timekeeping device, distinct from watches and clocks designed for vehicles, aircraft, and vessels. Trade considerations for Wall Clocks involve packaging that ensures protection against physical damage, moisture, and dust during transportation. Common packaging methods include individual boxes with bubble wrap or foam padding, and palletization for bulk shipping. The product must adhere to the quality standards set by the World Trade Organization and customs authorities, including precise timekeeping, durability, and safe materials. In terms of measurable attributes, the clock's dimensions, weight, battery requirements, and display type (analog or digital) are crucial specifications. The harmonized code classification and trade details of Wall Clocks are designed to comply with international trade classification systems, facilitating streamlined customs documentation and efficient global trade operations.
