Romania's export portfolio is heavily dominated by the automotive and electronics sectors. Vehicles with spark-ignition engines lead with a value of $4.24 billion, followed by power boards at $3.74 billion. The high values for gear boxes ($2.44B) and wire harnesses ($2.19B) further underscore a robust industrial specialization in vehicle manufacturing and electrical components for the 2024 period.

Germany is the primary destination for exports, commanding a dominant 32.2% market share valued at over $20.6 billion. Italy and France follow as significant partners, representing 14.95% and 9.9% respectively. Collectively, these top three markets account for over half of the total export value, highlighting a heavy concentration of trade within major European economies.

Several markets are showing notable expansion. Turkey leads as the fastest-growing destination with a 9.98% growth rate, followed by Poland at 8.79% and Bulgaria at 8.09%.
