Singapore Agriculture Import 2026 Market Overview & Trends

Singapore's agricultural imports show a consistent upward trend. From 2020 to 2024, import values grew from $2.16 billion to $2.28 billion. Notably, 2024 saw the highest volume at 2.32 billion units, indicating robust demand and a recovery in trade activity compared to the slight dip in value observed in 2023.

Malaysia and China are the primary suppliers to Singapore, accounting for over $850 million combined. Malaysia leads with $451.5 million, followed closely by China at $407 million. Other significant partners include India, Thailand, and Australia, reflecting a diverse but regionally concentrated supply chain.

Vietnam is the fastest-growing partner with a 17.3% growth rate, followed by China at 13.1%. Indonesia also shows strong momentum at 9.2%. While Malaysia remains the top exporter by value, these emerging partners are capturing increasing market share through rapid expansion.

IR 64 rice dominates imports with a value of $321.9 million. Fresh vegetables ($111 million) and kiwi fruit ($79.4 million) also represent significant categories. The data highlights a high concentration of value in staple grains and fresh produce segments.
